TOPIC:  Pancake Breakfast Fund-raiser

TOPIC:  Women’s Conference

 

The Madisonville/Hopkins County Economic Development Corporation announces the American Dream Women’s Conference being held Thursday, February 11th from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Catering and Creations on North Main Street in Madisonville, KY.  The conference will begin with a luncheon and culminate with a keynote address by Gigi Butler, founder of Gigi’s Cupcakes.  Cost per person is $20.  The event is open to the public.  For more information call Ruthann at 270-821-1939.

TOPIC:  Christian Motorcyclists Meeting

TOPIC:  New Section on Hopkinsville’s City Website

 

Hopkinsville Mayor Carter Hendricks announced the launch of a new section on the city’s website designed to promote a variety of winter weather resources available in Hopkinsville.  Located at www.hoptown.org under the Residents tab, this one-stop shop aims to link individuals and groups with a passion for service toward the appropriate organizations to assist the neediest in our community, especially as the colder weather sets in.  At the site, learn about volunteering, providing financial support, donating needed supplies, and referring individuals to featured crisis relief agencies such as Aaron McNeil, Micah Mission Center, and The Salvation Army.

The Christian County Master Gardeners will host the Garden and Outdoor Living Expo Friday, April 1st from 4-8 p.m. and Saturday, April 2nd from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Bruce Convention Center, Hopkinsville.  Special guest, Troy Marden of TV’s Volunteer Gardener, will speak and do a book signing.  Enjoy many other speakers, plus children’s gardening activities.  Vendors will showcase their products, and 4-H will have hotdogs for sale.  The event is free to the public.  Call the Christian County Extension office at 270-886-6328 for more information.

Topic:  The Cornell Memory Center Needs Volunteers
